How we began
We are a full service fire protection contractor. We began in February of 1994 after Automatic Sprinkler Corporation of America discontinued their construction department and later sold to their largest competitor, Grinnell Fire Protection. At that time, we added sales, design, service, and inspections. As a result, we became the full service company you expected when you called Automatic. We are the same local people who have been designing, installing, inspecting, servicing, modifying, and adding to fire protection systems for many years. We continue to provide the same quality service, attention to detail and timely installation you expect.
DeMaranville’s staff of Nicet certified designers, licensed installers, and inspectors work with customers and contractors to give personal attention to their Fire Protection needs. With systems tailored to your needs, you can expect exceptional service, the highest quality products and the ability to meet your schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions
|
|
How do fire sprinklers operate?
Automatic fire sprinklers are individually heat-activated, and tied into a network of piping with water under pressure. When the heat of a fire raises the sprinkler temperature to its operating point (usually 165ºF), a solder link will melt or a liquid-filled glass bulb will shatter to open that single sprinkler, releasing water directly over the source of the heat.
Why should I have my fire sprinkler system inspected?
Regular inspections of fire sprinkler systems are required by NFPA, state and local jurisdictions. Regular inspections will help reveal problems long before they become major. Sprinkler system repair can then be scheduled for a convenient time, saving you the cost of unnecessary business interruption.
Who decides design and installation procedures?
Proper design and installation of sprinkler systems is standardized nationally by the National Fire Protection Association - NFPA 13. A basic principle of proper sprinkler protection is that sprinklers be installed throughout all building areas. Partial sprinkler protection is a game of chance, since a fire originating in an unsprinklered area can overpower sprinklers given a head start.
Do sprinklers ever go off accidentally?
NO! It is extremely rare for sprinklers to operate accidentally. In fact, if a sprinkler is not subjected to freezing, overheating, or mechanical damage, loss records show that only 1 in 16,000,000 sprinklers per year will open accidentally.
